ATS GT
aesthetic harmony and aerodynamic efficiency

ONE OFF

As Head of the Technical Department for the ATS GT project, I played a multidisciplinary role encompassing design, engineering, and digital development. I was responsible for leading and managing the technical team throughout the vehicle’s development, overseeing all aspects from concept to final assembly. My contributions included the design and 3D CAD modeling of both the interior and exterior, as well as the engineering of aluminum components, the exhaust system, and the wheels. In addition to digital modeling, I actively participated in the interior clay modeling process, ensuring aesthetic precision and ergonomic refinement. I supervised the final assembly to guarantee alignment between design intent and technical execution, while also producing high-quality renderings, photography, and multimedia materials to support the project’s presentation and communication. Furthermore, I managed the information technology systems required for the project’s daily operations and contributed to the multimedia design and development, ensuring a cohesive visual and digital identity for the ATS brand

ABOUT THE ATS

  • The ATS GT embodies the spirit of classic Italian automotive design, blending sensual, sculptural forms with modern precision and performance standards. Every surface was meticulously shaped for both aesthetic harmony and aerodynamic efficiency, reflecting ATS’s philosophy that form follows function.

Its side profile features clean, dynamic lines and hidden touch-sensor door handles beneath the ATS fin. The front fascia pays homage to the 1960s ATS 2500 GTS, with a full-width spoiler, OLED Bologna Dragon logo, signature bonnet stripes, and advanced LED lighting. At the rear, a windowless tail and active aerodynamic wing highlight its racing character, while the diffuser and flowing lines reinforce visual balance and technical purpose.

The lighting design—from the sculpted daytime running lights to the tubular taillamps that vent engine heat—merges artistry with engineering. Forged aluminum wheels (20" front, 21" rear) complement the car’s proportions and performance, fitted with 255/30 R20 and 355/25 R21 tires.

Hand-built in extremely limited numbers, each ATS GT offers bespoke customization, allowing clients to define colors, materials, and finishes—continuing Italy’s tradition of craftsmanship and timeless automotive beauty.

The interior of the ATS GT was conceived by ATS Centro Stile to combine precision ergonomics, minimalist racing functionality, and refined luxury. Every control was positioned for optimal accessibility, ensuring an intuitive driving experience—whether in the city, on tour, or on track. Despite its functional purity, the cabin maintains the comfort and safety expected of a grand tourer, featuring four airbags and advanced driver systems.

At the heart of the cockpit lies the ‘Cuore’ (Heart) interface—an innovative control unit that seamlessly connects driver and machine. Positioned beneath the central touchscreen, it manages the car’s driving dynamics and infotainment systems, including:

  • Adaptive suspension modes: Viaggio, Sport, and Corsa (Touring, Sport, Track)
  • Active rear wing and engine mapping controls
  • Transmission mode selector and infotainment controller

The ultra-thin TFT digital display, framed in aluminum, provides essential driving data, while a central touchscreen manages secondary functions through an intuitive, driver-focused interface.

Technological highlights include:

  • Google full-screen 3D navigation – the first of its kind in a vehicle
  • Patented multifunction controller managing transmission, traction, and launch control
  • Four-mode paddle-shift system for personalized driving engagement
  • Exposed sequential transmission—a visual tribute to precision engineering
  • Qi wireless charging for both tablet and smartphone
  • ‘Prima Orchestra’ high-fidelity audio system, delivering concert-grade sound through advanced TRIO ultra-thin speakers

The result is a light, purposeful, and intelligent cabin that harmonizes Italian craftsmanship with cutting-edge innovation—an environment where aesthetics and technology coexist to elevate the driving experience.

The ATS GT offers three distinct driving modes—Viaggio, Sport, and Corsa (Touring, Sport, and Track)—each transforming the vehicle’s dynamics and driver experience. These modes adjust suspension response, gear-shift speed, and engine output, allowing the car to adapt seamlessly from grand touring comfort to high-performance precision.

  • Viaggio (Touring Mode) – Characterized by a calming blue ambient glow, this mode delivers smooth power delivery and gentle handling, ideal for relaxed driving in the city or on long journeys.
  • Sport Mode – The cabin lighting shifts to yellow, signaling a more dynamic character. Throttle response sharpens, and the instrument cluster displays G-force, tire temperature, and pressure data for real-time performance feedback.
  • Corsa (Track Mode) – Immersed in red lighting, the cockpit adopts a Formula 1-style display with focused performance metrics. The engine note deepens and grows more powerful, delivering a pure, race-inspired driving experience

A Potent V8

  • The twin-turbocharged V8 engine delivers 478 kW / 650 bhp at 7,250 rpm, or 515 kW / 700 bhp with the optional performance upgrade.
  • Torque peaks at 678 Nm, rising to 750 Nm with the upgrade, ensuring exceptional acceleration and responsiveness.
  • Featuring dry-sump lubrication and a patented silencer system, the engine produces the distinctive, resonant roar of a finely tuned Italian V8.
  • Performance places the ATS GT among the elite of its class:
    • 0–60 mph in 3.0 seconds
    • Top speed exceeding 206 mph (331 km/h)
  • A seven-speed transmission ensures seamless gear changes, integrated with driving modes (Viaggio, Sport, Corsa) for adaptive performance.
  • Equipped with a mechanical limited-slip differential and launch control, the system delivers controlled yet explosive acceleration.
  • The double-wishbone suspension and electronically tuned dampers provide precise handling and stability across all conditions.
  • Advanced systems include ESP (Electronic Stability Program) and high-performance carbon-ceramic brakes with the latest ABS technology for confident stopping power.
  • Built using carbon fiber and advanced alloys, the chassis and body achieve an exceptional balance of lightness, rigidity, and strength.
  • Carbon fiber extends throughout the bodywork, interior, and frame, ensuring structural integrity and performance efficiency.
  • Meticulous engineering and build quality result in a dry weight of just 1,300 kg, emphasizing the car’s uncompromising supercar DNA.
