A modern, conceptual desk model with an artistic and architectural design. 2012
Ideas driven
by client needs.
The desk is made primarily of dark stained wood, accented with clear acrylic and metal rods, suggesting a blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern materials.
The desk has a postmodern / deconstructivist feel, with a strong contrast between solid and transparent materials.
The play between curves and straight lines, as well as open vs. enclosed spaces, suggests the design prioritizes both aesthetics and functional zoning.
The glass desktop is inset into the wooden frame and includes a curved cutout that ergonomically allows the user to get closer to the desk surface—ideal for writing or keyboard work.
A raised acrylic shelf toward the back-right corner could be used to place small devices, speakers, or decorative items.
Wood: Predominantly used for the frame and structural elements, with a reddish-brown finish.
Glass: The central surface includes a large transparent panel, made ofglass, set flush with the wooden frame.
Metal rods: Sturdy horizontal cylindrical rods are used structurally on both sides—now thicker and more industrial in appearance, adding strength and aesthetic contrast.
